‘spes aeterna’ compiles seven sonic representations of the video art by diane drubay. five musicians coming from australia, united states and sweden collaborated with the french video artist to create a deep ambient and experimental drone compilation: zanias, halv drøm, kim boekbinder, dan söderqvist and bixu. the compilation is a right blend of psychoactives colors with textural, emotional and rhythmic soundscapes to expand the idea of sublime and create a strong natural cognitive enhancer. the compilation should be listened facing the video pieces to dive into an introspective state and reach high consciousness. this is the first installation of a trilogy.

ian blevins has been busy making a name for himself on esp institute and futureboogie, but now he comes to not an animal with a slightly different approach that still speaks to the skills the upstart producer has in his sonic arsenal. -the birds- is a focused, steady-tracking cut for the deeper end of the night, but there s some serious weight in those drums and the heavily processed vocal snippets pack plenty of malaise. man power then step up with a -tropical bastard- remix of the original, cracking the curtains to allow a little light into the mix but stopping short of over-cooking the mood. -locate yourself- on the flip finds blevins in tracky techno mode, and it turns out it s a style he can nail just as easily as the more organic tones he s known for.

love light: this tune is a hard hitting atmospheric roller. it has a larger than life bassline backed by in your face amens. hints of mid 90’s metalheadz and good looking take you back to a happy place.
make it funky: this tune lives up to its name with jazz funk intro that eases you into the tune. then boom a funky reece bass and amens for days and some massive break downs oh gosh!. serious bizzness here.
